You crazy--we are trying to decide how to get rid of it. It is the biggest one I have ever seen.

Call the experts to handle that nest , that thing is a ticking time bomb
I seen a guy freeze a smaller nest with a fire extinguisher once , that worked good , but that nest I wouldnt know how it would work .

Ann you can wrap it in something sturdy and then tie it up tight. Find something to cut it down and bring it to the dump or into a body of water. Good Luck.

Fire extinguishers work on wasps' nests. I don't know about hornets, though.

On further thought, I think I'd do this.

Nobody wants to remove it! I think we will wait for cold weather to set in-it will be easier with them in hibernation. We have a flame thrower but it is way to dry to use it.

You could get the video camera out and film taking it down and then send in the tape to Funniest Home Videos and wind $10,000.

Where does one find a flame-thrower? I want one.

Oh then I would guess some kind of military supply store, or an Armory.

I found some guys that made their own.

www.yikers.com/video_awesome_homemade_flame_thrower.html

Googling "flame thrower sales" brings up some fun results. We had a weed burner on the farm.
