I have a free account and I keep getting Moderator points. Perhaps it's because I have positive karma but I mean, every other day I have 5 points. I use them up and a day later there they are 5 more waiting again. What's up with that? I was curious if anyone else here kept getting the same thing. Then again, maybe it's because I've never moderated anyone down and actually view -1 threshold.

Plus did anyone else notice that you are either funny or a troll over there and sometimes both?

I read Slashdot, but I am not registered and I never make comments.

Just my two cents worth on the funny/troll comment , that seems to happen on every place people post messages. Your considered funny when your oppinion is a little off then everyone elses oppinion but still agree with them, while your considered a troll when you disagree with everyone on the board or have opposing views then the norm.

At least that is my experiance in my foray in to message boards

Jim, I do care about the comments made, that's part of the point of slashdot. The insightful, informative, funny, interesting comments. It allows people to share their perspective on something and just like how fark members share their satiristic manor of funny, we share our views here. Only difference is slashdot and fark are more suited towards the opinions of others on certain topics.
