But when it comes to love she is a "winner."

I just love the looks of that fawn. My first Dane was a fawn.

Looks like she likes riding in a boat.

I used to have a bunch of different greyhounds and I love them! The only thing is that you can't really have them if you aren't home alot because they are so needing of love and attention all the time. But they are so beautiful and loving and funny as hell.

I had a mutt named mooch that looked similar. He was alittle heavier but not much. I should look through my photos and scan it in if I can find it. I miss my moochie even more than I miss my Hannah.

You are right Wes. They are the best. Not good watch dogs though. They love anyone that comes knocking on the door.

That is like my Pug,he barks then when you open the door he will like you to death.

Missy, my twelve-year-old Lab, is my baby. She is a wonderful watch dog. If the UPS man would get out of his truck, he'd be dead.

Reminds me of my dog. Example, yesterday, he was sleeping my lap and then out of the blue, he turned his head up, stared at the ceiling and started sniffing. Woudln't stop either.

Maybe something is hiding in your walls and he smelled it. Do you have any space in your ceiling/walls?

With how those dogs rip and tear around the house I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. Does your greyhound make a pretend race that she races? All of ours did and it was hillarious!

Yes she runs from the living room down the hallway to the bedroom and back.........and back and forth.......and so on and so on. Just like Forest. She is a running fool.

In South Carolina our house had a circular floor plan running from the living room to the hall to the dining room to the kitchen and back to the living room. Our greyhound, Quiggly would run this circle frantically at least twice a day and make around 3-5 laps. Then he would collapse in a gasping heap for the rest of the day.
Our first greyhound, Quincy, was allowed outdoors because he would come back home unlike all the other ones. The others would see the road as one big race track and would just keep on going until they saw a pickup truck and they would run right for it. We had a special hunting call that we used to call them back if they ever got out that sounded to them like a dying animal. They went NUTS over that call!

Anyway, Quincy made a circular path around the neighborhood that he ran every day that included several jumps over bushes around 5 feet high. Quite the sight to see. They really are such beautiful and loving dogs and so full of a unique personality.

Sad day........Yesterday we said goodbye to our little girl after more than 15 years.

I am so sorry Hoosierguy,they become a member of our family. My children say I treat my dog better than I did them but he does not talk back to me.

She gave you 15 years of love.

I am so sorry. I love animals. They are better to me and more loving than people. I just want to say I am sorry.

I am very sorry Hoosierguy. I truly would rather die myself than go through that again. But I have my two sleeping here by me that count on me to take care of them. So I guess that's what I need to do.

Man...that's too bad. I know it's a really hard thing to do but it seemed like that was the last resort and it really was her time. At least it was done to ease her pain and not for some selfish reasons like others have done. It seems like she had a very long and good life with you. I'm sorry she's gone.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know that I will be thinking of you, it's a tough thing to lose a loved one.

Hoosierguy I'm so sorry about ur girl.If it makes u feel any better I know u did they right thing.I made the mistake of trying to save mine,when all it did was cause him to have more pain.I wont make that mistake again.Good for u.

HAHA! I love greyhounds. They look so cute in their little bandanas and sleeping on their blankets or pads. She looks like she can't wait for Santa.

She is so pretty, looks almost like a deer.

I think the color is called "fawn". That's the same color as my first Great Dane.

Nice color, I had a Great Dane get after me once.Good thing I was close to my car.I didnt know if it was a dog or a horse at the time.

I wish I could get that close to the ones that come in my yard but to much hunting here so they are afraid-can you blame them.

The only way is to get rid of your dogs , they had no wild life around when they had their Shelty Collie , when it died 4-5 years ago , they never got another dog, so the wildlife is coming back , she had 20+ mule deer every evening laying in the front yard all summer long . They would sit on the porch and drink coffee , and watch them till they went to bed down for the night .
The down side to that was they ate all the pinion nut trees on the property , and ate all her flowers she planted .........

There was this man on the next road that had goats. He left for a week and nobody took care of them and they ate everything the could find. I don't know what happened to them but they came up missing before he got back home. He does his dogs like that too. Never pens anything up.If you got animals keep them on your property.

I'd rather have deer than flowers but gotta have my dogs.

We have turkeys galore in our yard digging up the snow foraging. I feed them some corn that I have for the ducks and they also dig around under Lisas' birdfeeders. Whenever i want some cheap entertainment, I let both of our dogs out and watch those birds fly.

Shouse won't let me keep 2dogs I'm sure of it. He so strict since we got married even made me quit dateing. (Men) I just don't get u guys.

You could keep 2dogs and not date him.
