...Crookshanks, the newest member of my family. He's about 8 or 9 months old and belonged to my sister and her family, but they just moved to a no pets place. So he is now in my care.

It was very nice of you to take him in Rogue. He looks like a fine friend.

This has been the only picture I can get of him. He's not used to that kind of attention. He's really photogenic.

He has very pretty eyes.

That he does. They seem rounder than most cat eyes, and they are so green. I can't wait to draw him out of his shell the next few days. He's just so timid, being in a new place.

I feel sorry for animals when they have to move in a new place.

I'll try to take more pictures later, once I can get him out of hiding. Miss MewMew hasn't taken to him. It's a chore to ignore the hissing and growling she sends in his direction. Poor Crookshanks.

Crookshanks meows, alot. I'm so used to quiet cats that his mews just suprise me. I do think he is missing his old family, so I let my niece see him for a bit. He is very good with children, unlike a certain demon spawn named Miss MewMew.

As a fellow shanks I like his name. What a cutie!!!!

Ginger meowed like that when we brought him home after finding him and wanted to wander all day and night. He meowed so much he lost his voice. Well, he also tried to hang himself in the middle of the night and had to meow repeatedly to make me wake up and rescue him from a second death. There he was hanging from the curtain noose that he made around his neck. I love kitties and yours is a pretty, fuzzy baby.

My Crookshanks is missing. My niece came in and I think she left my door open and he went out. I've looked all over town and am going to put fliers up.

Thank you. He's never been outside (except in carriers to the vet). It's going to be chilly tonight. I'm so worried.

I used to just stand at the door and call my cat's name. After a while she would come back in and give lots of kisses. I'm sure he'll be back.

Check around your building. Cats find the strangest places to hide when they are scared and I'm sure she is since shes never been out before. Also check with the local animal shelters and vets to make sure no one brought her in. If your cats aren't microchipped I'd look into it. We have a reader here at work and we have reunited pets that would have went to the shelter.

Did she come home?

She blogged in the middle of the night that her baby is back, I THINK that meant the cat.

Trance got outside yesterday afternoon.. Looked everywhere, but I knew she wouldn't go far. After it got dark I turned the front porch light on and within a minute who do I see? Trance meowing to get in. As soon as I opened the door she shot inside and I don't think she'll be wanting to venture outside for quite some time.

I remember the first time I escaped from the house. I still don't like the outside much.

Neither do I. However, I've never escaped. I've only been thrown out.

I'm afraid of trees. They look menacing.

I am afraid of the spiders that live in the trees.
