I am sorry for your loss 2dogs I went through that a few years back with our pet as well.

I bet she was a great companion.

I meet her, she wasn't fond of me but she liked Tom and she was a doll.

We pick up KoKO's ashes tomorrow. Then off to the pet cemetery. On another note. Brandi had us worried. She had never been alone for more than a couple hours. She's starting to get better but we don't want her to go down hill from loneliness. So we called the breeder that we got the girls from. No answer, we left a message. An hour later the phone rings. She said they had just picked mommy dog up from the breeder. We are number one on the list for a puppy. Will keep you posted. Probably a December.

After our dog was struck and killed on the highway in front of our house a few years ago, we grieved for a few months. Then a dog was hanging around at the school where my wife works at the after school day care. The woman in charge called the dog catcher and had them come get the female yellow lab. My wife couldn't stand it, she changed her mind about having another dog and told the dog catcher to take the dog to our farm. He placed her in the barn stall and we worked with her inside a fenced in area for about a month to get her used to us. Then we started letting her run around the hay fields with us riding in the UTV. She has become a great dog for us and we feel good about saving her from the shelter. Dogs don't last long in the shelter and almost never get adopted around here.

If you can adopt, do it, shelter dogs need homes and make great pets.
