Description
I'm starting to realize that I may just have enough mechanical skills to be dangerous. And Lisa doesn't appeciate me making bad jokes about blowing up the house with the Jeep in the garage. She asked me how that would happen. I replied with: "vaporized gasoline and a spark." \:D ;\)

I like the tarp strap holding tension on the alternator belt!

Yeah, I know, it's probably temporary. Just couldn't resist!

It's an old weather checked strap. I should replace it with a newer one after I get it running. ;\)

It won't fire up, we just tried it today. I need to double check for sparking plugs and then I'll dig into the carb as KYDave had said so earlier. I'll have to decide on whether to just clean it up and throw in a rebuild kit or just play it safe and get a new carb for it. I'm leaning towards getting a new carb, That's what I ended up doing with the tractor after trying to do a rebuild that went bad on me.

We are VERY close on this one. Yet Kyle noticed an oil leak coming out the back of the engine. Might be a main bearing or seal or something like that. I also have to take the head off some time to get the temperature sender out, it leaks a little water. It's going to need some heat and a big pipe wrench.

Kyle and I cleaned up the garage and pushed the Jeep up to the wall. We got the tractor pushed in behind the Jeep and I have some work to do before plowing snow. I think the starter switch went bad or a fuse blew. I also have a new light switch, ignition switch, and sediment bowl for underneath the gas tank. The gas started leaking out from the bowl assembly being messed up.
